What is a Sea Safari?

We have all heard of a land safari, searching for lions, feeding giraffes and being in a vehicle. The Sea Safari is our version of this, but out at sea and in a boat!

On our Sea Safaris, you’ll explore the North Coast of Cornwall, and get to see wildlife in their natural habitat all while enjoying the joy of being on a 500hp RIB out at sea. Perfect for those adventure enthusiasts. Wavehunters are Cornwall’s leaders in Sea Safari adventures with our team of local skippers filled with never-ending knowledge of our coastline. You are in the best hands.

What Animals Might I See?

To many people’s surprise, Cornwall is the home of many different types of wildlife. With our rich hunting grounds for sea mammals, the coast entices all things big and small. This unique experience will include a chance to see Bottlenose Dolphins, Risso Dolphins, Whales, Seals, Porpoises and even the occasional Whale. On top of that, you’ll see Puffins, Shags, Cormorants, and Gannets, every bird watcher’s dream. The wildlife in Cornwall remains undisturbed, allowing you the full experience of the wildlife in its natural habitat. A truly once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Take a look at some recent reviews from our customers:

  • “Such great fun! Felt safe and secure riding the waves at speed. Our ages ranged from 70 down to 4 and this suited everyone. Kids loved seal spotting. Will was a great guide and knew the tides/sea so could advise the best route for our time (2-hour trip). A great morning, we got slightly wet but nowhere near as wet as I thought we would be. The kids have already requested we rebook for next year.April 2024
  • “Fantastic boat trip (90-minute trip from Rock) – a fast, comfortable & safe boat. We had a great sighting of dolphins for about 20 minutes right next to the boat. Liam our skipper was helpful and knowledgeable. All around, a really good experience.” April 2024
  • “Andy and Liam were great fun and they knew a lot about the local landmarks and history. The boat trip itself was great. Although you can never rely on wildlife to be about, we were lucky to see loads of birds, a porpoise and a pod of dolphins.” April  2024
