General
Tamraght is a pleasantly sleepy village trapped between the hills and the Atlantic Ocean.
There are a few shops, restaurants, barber, Mosque, internet café, butchers, carpenters, street traders and surf shops.
Close by is the village of Aourir “banana village” as it is named for obvious reasons, there is now a bank, a few more shops, an internet café a petrol station and whole lot of banana stalls!
An hour inland from Aourir you drive through some amazing valleys and gorges ‘til you come to paradise valley an oasis of palm trees and natural pools. You can travel further up the mountains to beautiful waterfalls of Immouzer. A great excursion when the surfs flat.
Two minutes in the other direction from Tamraght is Taghazoute a slightly more hustlely affair, where there are few more restaurants, surf shops and plenty more husterlers!
Most importantly with Tamraght you are slap bang in the middle of classic point break land! With a few nice beach breaks and reefs thrown in for good measure.
Agadir the nearest big city is about 20 minutes away, and all services and facilities you expect with a modern sea side resort, including bars, night clubs, supermarkets and MacDonald’s!
Agadir also has the most fantastic SOUK where you can get the full Moroccan bartering experience, you can buy anything from lizards and spices to fake Animal jeans.
